Biodegradable refill is the important main part that filters the water.
It’s the only piece you’ll need to replace every 3 months to prevent the build-up of substances and blockage of the filter.

Our cartridges remove more than 100 substances from tap water, trapping particles as small as 1–2 microns in the carbon block. They also preserve the water's essential minerals (they don't reduce TDS). Here's the science behind our ultra-advanced 5-stage microfiltering technology:

POLYPROPYLENE MESH
Wrapped around the carbon block, it filters out the largest micro-organisms, sediment, rust, scale and other impurities. It also prevents human hands contaminating the carbon block when replacing it.
ACTIVATER CARBON ADSORPTION
The activated carbon made from coconut shells removes organic chemical matter, chlorine, chlorine byproducts (VOCs, THMs, HAAs, etc.), tastes, odours, pesticides, herbicides, PFAs and over 80 other contaminants. It also reduces the quantity of heavy metals like lead, copper and mercury, among others.
CARBON BLOCK MICROFILTERING
The carbon block traps particles larger than 1–2 microns. This prevents microplastics, particles in suspension and most bacteria passing through the filter. It also prevents the rust particles and bacteria that build up in water pipes entering the filter.
REMOVES LIMESCALE AND HEAVY METALS
The carbon block houses our patented formula, the result of long years of research and of which we are extremely proud. It breaks down the mineral to prevent limescale forming, as well as trapping any remaining heavy metals.
SIEVE
Filters out hair, sand, dirt and other impurities commonly found in household water pipes.

TIPS FOR USE

Use hot water only in the NO filtered position.
Avoid washing the filter with soap.
If you haven’t used the filter in several days, run the filtered water for 20 seconds.
Avoid exposing the filter to heat.
The carbon block should be changed every 3 months.
At the end of the cartridge cycle, the TAPP Water EcoPro filter housing must be reused.
Remove the carbon block from inside and put in a new one. Screw the cartridge back on and you’re ready for the next 3 months.
